The past two days have been spent working on final plans for our upcoming trip to Slovakia in August. Our get-to-know-each-other meeting will be this Sunday. Can't wait! I think all of us are excited and anxious and ready for August 1st to come!

We're on our way, almost. I have a supply of Zlaty Bazant ready for the meeting on Sunday. I noticed on the label that Zlaty Bazant is owned by Heineken. The Dutch are into everything; flowers, tobacco, coffee, spices, licorice, and beer, to name just a few.

ReplyDeleteAre there iconography workshops or iconographers in Bardejov or Presov that we can visit? It would be wonderful to bring home a hand written icon from somewhere in Slovakia.
ReplyDeleteNone that I am aware of but perhaps you can inquire while we are there. I would think that at the Seminary in Presov or the church in Bardejov they might know. Also there is an exhibit of icons in the museum in the town square in Bardejov.
